I've really got some Verve!

Well, I had been eyeing stamps from Verve Visual for awhile and finally ordered some. I am just so amazed that Julee Tilman was an everyday gal that just started making her own stamps and has a business now. Wow! I can't even imagine being that brave. Way to go girl. I am putting you on my hero list.

Anway, she had issued a challenge and I made a card for it, even by her deadline but never had a chance to post it in time. Silly huh? Well, here is the card anyway. I love the sentiment I chose for it."Reaching for the stars we find our greatest self" Did you write that Julee?
Anyway, here are the pictures.

Stamps: Seeing Stars, Thoughtful florals, starlight starbright

Paper: Textured purely pomegranite, pretty in pink and Berry Bliss DP all by SU

Ink: chocolate chip and pomegranite

punches: large oval, word window

Accessories: brads, dazzling diamonds, heat and stick powder and crystal effects. Also rose micro beads Art Accentz by Provo Craft. Man, I sure couldn't get those to stick and that is why crystal effects is in the list. They still didn't look perfect but I wanted to use them.

Cutting out the stars was a bit time consuming but I like the outcome. Now who to mail it to?

On a Personal Note: We had our realtors come to the house Monday to give it a look and tell us what to do to get it ready to sell. It is a little overwhelming. Basically we need to pack everything so the house looks big, empty and clean. That is a challenge for a pack rat like me. I am in the mood to throw stuff away so I need to take advantage of those feelings!! My only real dilema is what to do with my craft area. How do I know what I will need over the next few months? The wife realtor says keep your stuff out but tidy up and get pack what is not necessary. The husband says put it all away. Well, I can't really put it all away since I still have stamp clubs and stuff. I guess we'll just have to see. Please pray we can sell quickly and for a good price. We have to sell with a decent profit in order to pay the realty fees and pay for the sprucing up we need to do.

We are really hoping my grandparents can get more for their business than we can offer so right now we are not thinking we will be buying the business. I am really disappointed but I am coping. The challenge now is for Brett to find a job that he can be happy with. As a teacher I never really have to "job hunt". I just have to find a position. I can't imagine really searching for a job when you are qualified to do many, many things. It seems overwhelming to me. Please pray for him to find a job.

Anyway, that is what is going on here. I am not sure how it will all get done but it always does, right?

Talk to you soon.

Love you lots - A.

  1. I did get to read the personal stuff on this one - good stuff honey.

  2. What a gorgeous card, Amy! I love the sparkly stars. And yes, I did write that sentiment myself. I just love it. :)

  3. Good luck on selling your house!

  4. Terrific the mix of the stars from sparkly to those with DP!
