Thank You's for Lynette

My friend Lynette is having a baby. She had a difficult time becoming pregant and it is so exciting to be so close to her due date. She is 30 days away from welcoming Carter into the world. We had a bunco baby shower last month and yesterday Brett and I were invited to a Jack and Jill Baby party (not a shower mind you). I took her a dozen Thank You notes. Lynette used to stamp (isn't that sad, "used to") and so she was really grateful for the cards. I don't want to sound snotty here, but it is really nice when people really appreciate the gift of hand made cards. For me it is like giving away a part of my creative self to people. These were quick and easy cards. Quick and easy is my new favorite technique!
Stamps: nice and easy notes and riveting from Stampin Up!, unknown Thank you stamp from Wal-mart
Paper: Mat Stack patterned paper, white and bashful blue, sage shadow and close to cocoa from Stampin' Up
Fibers: unknown brown ribbon from Big Lots, twine, raffia and Hobby Lobby's blue Satin
accessories: cuttlebug tiny tags die, circle punch (large and small)

  1. Very nice cards. It is strange how some people don't appreciate our cards. I have a friend who won't send one of her cards to certain people because she knows they don't appreciate that they are handmade.

  2. You don't sound snotty! I understand what you mean! Those cards are really cute too!

  3. I too understand what you mean about handmade cards. I love making a card for someone and specially picking what goes into it, and thinking about them while I make the card.
